Many of us have been on this Health and Fitness roller coaster ride for some time now. It really does have its ups and downs. One minute we are doing so well and the next we feel like we have completely fallen off course. It is not easy staying on track. But what I have learned during my journey is that the right support can make a huge difference. Going at this alone can make it so much easier to quit, but good friends in fitness helps to keep us going. Here are some reasons why:
Accountability through friends is what started me on this journey and ha also helped others along the way. When I started, I was exhausted and needed a change for my overall wellness. I started to connect with other women sharing my journey while they shared theirs. This has made a difference in me continuing to be on this journey. It helps to see that we are not alone. We are in this together. Learning, growing and sharing together through all around wellness, while developing wonderful friendships with those who want to see you succeed on your journey.
Stepping Outside your comfort Zone
If you struggle with stepping outside your comfort zone, being on this journey with friends will sure make you step out. And it does feel great because it helps to see all you can accomplish. I have made such wonderful friends during this journey. Me!! A super shy introvert has actually made some great friends. Anyone who is super introverted knows how difficult it sometimes is to make friends as we tend to keep to ourselves often. But friendship is good for our health. This journey has forced me to step way out of my comfort zone. It is wonderful to have other women to talk to and understand the difficulties of staying on track with health goals in the world we live in today.
Sharing Your Journey
Friends help you to share your journey. Through their support, accountability and their own journey, they help you to share your journey because sharing each other’s journey helps to see we are not alone and helps us stay accountable. This helps others see the possibilities and that they too don’t have to go at this journey alone.
I could not have continued without the support of great friends routing me on. And being able to coach other women through this proves has helped me stay accountable in my own journey.
