Life can be super busy sometimes...ok ok who am I kidding life is pretty darn busy most of the time. This leaves me with no time to head to the gym which is one of the reasons why I started to workout at home. And hey being a homeschooling mom I can totally count this as physical education for the kids 😉...
At this point many know I love Beachbody's fitness programs but there are some workouts, although I love them all I just don't have the time with 4 kids, homeschooling and running 2 businesses. I have to get it done before a meltdown. So here's a list of my top 10 Beachbody workouts for the busy Mom:
Piyo is one of my favorite go to workouts for those busy stressful day. It is a mix of Pilates and Yoga. Most of the workout routines are 30min and helps not only build strength but also flexibility. And hey, let's face it, running around after a 3 year old who also sometimes follows me around to be picked up is not an easy task on a day to day basis. So the strength and flexibility is definitely needed. Also, I love the core workouts in Piyo and I feel after having 4 kids it has helped bring strength back into my core. This is also a great workout program for all fitness levels, including for those who may have back and knee issues
22 Minute Hardcorp
I think the name speaks for itself. Every workout routine in this program is 22min but works the body as good as a workout that is an hour plus long! This workout develops the much needed strength for us busy moms. And did I mention It's 22 minutes 😀.
Core De Force
For us Moms looking to let off some busy Mom steam while getting fit there is core de Force. It’s a Mix Martial Arts (MMA) workout routines and each round is just 3 minutes!!! Another great program, whether or not you are used to working out daily or have never worked out before. Core De Force workout rounds include boxing, kickboxing and Thai. My kids love it too. It's also great for the core and as a mom serving other moms, I am all about the core after having babies. Not for six pack abs, while that's nice, it is more important to be healthy and have strength in the core. Strengthening the core helps to bring balance back to the body and if you suffer from back pain, strengthening the core will help lessen that pain. It is so painful chasing after little ones while suffering from back pain. So a strong core is definitely a plus for the mom life. And why not strengthen and workout the entire body through a fun MMA routine.
Hammer and Chisel
ok if you are looking to scope your body and build muscle quickly, then Hammer and Chisel is the go to workout. The workout routines are less than 45 minutes long. And if you follow the program and eating plan then for some you should be seeing results as quickly as two weeks! Now a lot of these workout routines are pretty intense so this is best for Moms who have been working out at least moderately before starting. If you have never worked out or haven’t worked out in a really long time, then some of the other program mentioned that are for all fitness levels might be best ⚒.
21- Day Fix
Who doesn't like 21- Day fix! This is such a great workout for all fitness levels. It is designed to targets the arms, torso, back and shoulders, as well as sculpt the legs and buttocks through cardio workouts. Oh and there is also a yoga workout to help with flexibility. But here's the best part for us busy Moms...It is a 3 week program...Just 21 days!!! You can decide to do another round or move on to another program if you feel you need to be further challenged. And many of the workout routines are around 30minutes. It also comes with portion size containers which is awesome for those of us who tend to over or under eat (totally guilty🖐🏽). And as with many of the other programs you will get a meal plan with recipes. So worth it ❤️.
Another great Cardio workout program for us busy Moms is Turbo fire. This is a well rounded program focused on improving cardiovascular fitness. It is designed to strengthen the upper and lower body while improving muscle tone. Most of the workout routines for this program is under 40 minutes. I usually accomplish this before kids are up or when they are having a bit of quit time by coloring or playing. The routines fo pretty go pretty quickly in this program so if you are completely new to fitness it may help to start off on some of the other programs🔥.
P90 Or P90X
P90 is actually the first program I started with when I began my health and fitness journey. What I love about this program is that it uses different activities throughout the program such as weight lifting, cardio training, calisthenics, yoga, stretching, plyometrics, and martial arts. So if you like to change up your routine a bit then P90 or P90X is perfect! Great for all fitness levels as well and similar to many of the other program there is a modifier if needed. This was a great starter program for me and left me with some amazing results! I still workout to P90x from time to time. It's a 90 day program and most routines are under 45 minutes. Definitely a win for the busy Mom, especially if you have never worked out before or looking to get back into a fitness routine🏃🏽.
Another name that says it all. Can you guess? Yes, I'm sure you guessed it... this programs workout routines are only 25minutes! Now, this is an intense full body workout, but it's a quick way to squeeze in a workout and get fantastic results. You get all the benefits you will get with a 45 minute workout program in just 25minutes! Another great way to get in a workout before kids are up or during play time with very little equipment needed as with most of the programs listed 👟.
Now if you like to dancing you will love this one! Cize is a workout that does not feel like you are exercising at all as it is packed with dance routines to help get your body moving, burning calories and tone up in just 35 minute. It's so much fun even my kids love it! This is a fantastic way to workout without worrying if the kids are up or not entertained with play time since they can join right in the fun!! Seriously since I homeschool this is physical education for us and they love it!!💃🏽
Country Heat is another great workout program through dancing. We love country Heat. The routines are easy to follow. You will burn calories in no time and with tons of fun! Great for even a beginner dancer and just like with Cize the kids love it! Most routines are under 30minutes. Another one in the books for homeschooling Phys ed 📖✍🏾.
These workouts work wonders without being super intense to leave me drained by the end of day. I love being able to get a workout in without feeling like I have to rely on going to the gym because with 4 young kids, homeschooling and running my businesses from home I honestly can't make it. But the cool thing is not only are these programs available to us busy Moms at home but it is also a huge Money saver for half the price of gym membership.
Seriously, how great is it that! Us Moms are given this Opportunity to work on our health and fitness from home, no gym membership required, have a group of ladies to help us stay accountable, share tips and meal plans.
